Balaji Consultants engineers and supplies continuous used-oil re-refining plants designed for steady-state processing from feed preparation through base-oil recovery and upgrading. Continuous configurations can integrate dehydration, Continuous Flash Distillation, WFE, Solvent Extraction and appropriate base-oil finishing within a coordinated process train.
The continuous configuration is the natural choice for plants designed to process 30 TPD and above, where the economics of continuous equipment — higher energy efficiency, lower labour intensity per tonne, and higher plant availability — outweigh the additional capital cost of continuous unit operations. It is also the preferred configuration where consistent product quality is critical, because steady-state operation eliminates the cycle-to-cycle variation inherent in batch distillation.
Balaji Consultants has designed and commissioned continuous re-refining plants incorporating continuous flash dehydration, high-vacuum Wiped-Film Evaporation (WFE), solvent extraction and regenerative clay polishing. The selection of individual units within the continuous configuration is driven by feedstock characteristics, target base-oil quality, capacity and project economics — not by a single standard flowsheet.
